Aside from the news that Morton have two players on trial (see story below) the Tele' also has some other Morton news.Pres-season training started today but without two players we were rumoured to be interested in and in one case a player who was supposed to have signed.
Manager Jim McInally has denied the rumours that we had signed Dumbarton's Stephen Grindlay. This follows a story in last Thursday's Tele' (28.6.07) in which Douglas Rae strongly denied speculation linking us with ex-Motherwell striker Adam Coakley. The story first appeared in an Evening Times article.
Chris Fitzgerald also reveals that we made an 11th hour (increased) bid to sign John Sutton after rumours circulated that his move to Wycombe had fell through (rumoured to be because of his girlfriends reluctance to move to England).
