Morton have today made their second significant signing of the summer in Dumbarton goalie Stephen Grindlay.
The information comes from Dumbarton's official website although there is no mention of a transfer fee or if the player was out of contract.
Grindlay counts Newcastle United and Grimsby Town amongst his former clubs.
According to the 2005/06 Scottish Football League Review he is 25 years old (born - 13.3.1982) and 6' 2" tall.
For me, Grindlay has never been a keeper who has stood out. However he did get in this season's SPFA 3rd Division team of the year so must be doing something right. His is a signing that I'm sure a lot of Morton fans wont be overly happy about but sometimes signings like this turn out to be the best ones a manager makes.
