Bobby Lennox, who played for Celtic when they won European Cup in 1967, recently told the Greenock Telegraph that he was very close to signing for Morton.Lennox was set to play a trial match against Queen's Park but the game was cancelled due to rain. If it wasn't for the Greenock weather he may well have signed on at Cappielow instead of going on to become one of the famous Lisbon Lions.
