Has Jay Shields Signed?

In his article on Hugh Murray and the St. Mirren v Morton match in the Evening Times Bert Mitchell finishes off with the sentence "McInally has, however, completed the signing of former Hibee Jay Shields."

There has been no other confirmation of this other than the rumour that Shields appeared in the team picture taken last week.
