Yesterday I asked whether Alan Reid (pictured) and Kevin Cuthbert had been signed or played as trialists - the answer was that they were trialists.In today's Greenock Telegraph Roger Graham confirms that both players were trialists and that Davie Irons is working to sign them permanently.
It is expected that Cuthbert will sign in the next couple of days but a deal for Alan Reid looks as if it could be more complicated. Irons said: “Hopefully we will sign him [Cuthbert] tomorrow. There are a few wee bits and pieces to sort out regarding a contract, but I’m hopeful we will do the business.
“There’s still a bit to go on that one [a deal for Reid] yet. It’s not as clear cut as we thought at one stage.”
