Personal Honours:
Miscellaneous: Paul won the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup (North America's version of the European Championships) with Canada. He played in three matches; versus Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago and in the final against Colombia. He achieved this while a player at Cappielow and this, amazingly, meant the end of his Morton career. Incensed by the fact he was paying a player who was away on international duty for so long during the domestic season Hugh Scott forced Ian McCall to drop Paul for a game against Raith Rovers - where he sat in the stand with the Morton fans after finding out he wasn't in the squad. He was sent out on loan to Raith Rovers for the remainder of his contract. At the end of his contract he was released and joined Hibs for nothing. Morton were reported to have previously rejected a £100,000 bid for Fenwick from Hibs.
Paul was voted Tennent's man of the match for the 1999 Scottish Cup quarter-final - shown live on Sky Sports - against Celtic. An impressive feat considering he was up against Mark Viduka and Henrik Larsson, Morton conceded three goals and Paul gifted one of those goals to Larsson with a poor headed back pass.
In 2004 he rejected the chance to return to Cappielow stating that he thought he had the ability to play at a higher level.
