A lot of Morton's youth and reserve players have been loaned out to junior sides because of the limited amount of reserve games played this season. On Saturday the 5th May two of those players made a crucial impact in Largs Thistle's match against East Kilbride.Alan Gilbride and Mick Fulton both scored as Largs ran out 3-0 winners in a match that preserved their status in the Stagecoach Super League 1st Division. Ex-Morton player Phil Cannie scored the other goal. Largs were captained by another ex-Morton player - Neil Shearer.
