According to yesterday's Evening Times Morton are fighting it out with St. Johnstone and Partick Thistle for Dougie Imrie.Bert Mitchell says that it is understood that Clyde rejected a bid of £25,000 by St. Johnstone and that Morton and Partick have made similar bids.
He goes on to say that Thistle are Imrie's preferred destination but that Morton and St. Johnstone can offer better wages.
In Dundee Newspaper The Evening Telegraph James Masson claims St. Johnstone are 'poised' to sign Imrie and that he could even be signed in time to play for the Saints against Clyde on Saturday.
