Gardyne's Ankle Only Swollen

There were fears that Michael Gardyne (pictured) had broken his ankle as a result of a crunching tackle in Saturday's bruising encounter with St. Johnstone.

An article by Roger Graham in today's Greenock Telegraph reveals that after an X-ray it was discovered that Gardyne's ankle was badly bruised and swollen rather than broken.

He is expected to be out for a couple of weeks.

Alex Walker and Dean Keenan were also injured in the match with concussion and a bruised ankle respectively but both are expected to be available for next Saturday's trip to Dundee.
