I'd still love us to sign Paul McGowan so I was happy to see that Gus MacPherson has quashed rumours that St. Mirren were set to sign the Celtic reserve.On St. Mirren's official website MacPherson admits that he had been impressed with Paul while he was on loan at Cappielow but that he wouldn't be making a bid due to the price Celtic quoted us when we tried to sign him.
The Buddies gaffer claims that Celtic asked for £250,000. I'm not sure how accurate that is but I'm led to believe that Morton went as high as £150,000 and the bid was rejected.
