McAlister Wants More Goals

Jim McAlister scored his first goal of the season on Tuesday night and now he wants to add to his tally. The midfielder told the Greenock Telegraph's Russell Steele: “I got six last season and hopefully I can go on now and get more goals. It’s easier when you have a bit more freedom to get forward like I did the other night.”

Going by the article McAlister seemed to relish the space he was given and expanded on this by saying: “It’s actually a bit easier [playing against an SPL side]. You get more time on the ball and can go and express yourself. It’s not 100 miles an hour, and it’s more enjoyable. You feel you have a point to prove in every game, but maybe even more so against an SPL side.”

Hopefully his goal on Tuesday is the first of many this season
