Michael Tidser To Sign Today Or Tomorrow

Morton look set to sign former Celtic youth Michael Tidser either today or tomorrow.

The 19-year-old has just returned to Scotland after a year long spell playing in the Swedish third division with Östersunds FK. He may have been brought to Grady's attention by Carlo Monti who was a team mate of his in the Celtic under-19s.

Over the last week or so various threads appeared on the greenockmorton.org messageboard linking the Ton with Tidser. A player with initials 'mt' was mentioned, as was an ex-Celt Michael Tisbey who was reported to have played in the bounce game against St. Johnstone at Toryglen. I searched the net and uncovered a Michael Tidser who used to play for Celtic - and the Greenock Telegraph's Roger Graham has confimed that this is exactly who Grady is after, and that he should sign for the club in the next few days.

The former Scotland under-19 cap - a level at which he played alongside the likes of Hibs' Paul Hanlon, Motherwell's Jamie Murphy, and Aberdeen's Chris Maguire - is described as a central midfielder who can also play on the left wing. He is reputed to have excellent ball control and precocious dribbling skills. He is also noted for his set-pieces and powerful shooting ability.
