Morton utility man Alex Walker has joined Brechin City on a three month loan.
According to Ton manager James Grady the versatile 25-year-old has been farmed out to improve his fitness levels after a long period out injured. "It's better for him and for us that he gets match fit," he told the Greenock Telegraph's Roger Graham. "His fitness levels aren't where they should be at the moment for us, but he will definitely get games at Brechin."
Walker's contract expires this summer, so the fact Grady is willing to send him out on loan for most of the remainder of his contract suggests that he is not in the manager's long term plans.
Stevie Masterton could be the next player to be shipped out of Cappielow. The midfielder hasn't featured in Grady's first team plans of late and has been made available for loan.
