Rashid Kamara

In Morton's recent pre-season tour of the north-east of England Davie Irons took a look at six trialists. Of the six two stood out for me. Those were Chris Smith - who I have already posted about - and Rashid Kamara (pictured, left).

Irons played Kamara in the hole behind the strikers in both his trial matches. He started against Tow Law Town and was subbed in the second half and came on as second half substitute against Durham City. He had nice close control, plenty of skill and the ability to ghost past oppponents. On the downside he was quite small and often made the wrong decision when it came to his final ball. I'm not sure if he will be in the squad tomorrow as I heard that Irons wasn't impressed enough to take anything any further.
