Both today's Scottish Sun and today's Greenock Telegraph have published a story that Morton's Peter Weatherson has been charged with an alleged assault.The Tele' article, which starts on the front page and continues on page two, states that Weatherson was arrested after the alleged incident in Haig Street.
The Sun goes into more detail. According to the snippet on page 15 Weatherson assaulted Alex Coulter at Word Up last Friday night and was later detained by Traffic police. It goes onto say that Coulter was left with cuts and bruises to his face but declined hospital treatment.
