Jeff Forsyth

According to today's Greenock Telegraph Jeff Forsyth (pictured), a defender who was on West Bromwich Albion's books, played as a trialist against Rangers yesterday.

Name: Jeff Forsyth
Age: 20 (14.10.1987)
Position: Central Defence; Right Back
Nationality: English
Height: 5' 10"
Former Clubs: West Bromwich Albion, Halesowen Town

His profile on West Brom's official website described him as a 'no-nonsense centre half who is good with the ball at his feet'.
Forsyth started last season with Halesowen Town but was released after only three first team appearances.

The Tele's David Christie quotes Morton assistant manager Derek Collins as saying: "He had a good game even though he is a little out of condition but that is something we can work on."

I've managed to dig up some more info on the player. He was released at the end of the 2006/2007 season by West Brom, and then wen't on trial at Halesowen. He signed for them for the start of last season but was released just 3 weeks into his contract, can't find out why. Since then there doesn't seem to be much info on him, and the guys on the west brom unoffciial site couldn't tell memuch as he never made a first team appearance, only making the bench once.
