Morton boss Davie Irons has revealed that he was "really worried" when Jim McAlister (pictured, left and below: getting treatment) hobbled from the field after a dirty challenge by Airdrie's Joe Cardle. However, that worry has turned to relief with the news that the injury isn't as bad as he initially thought.

Irons told William Dick (reporting for the
Greenock Telegraph): "I was really worried when the stretcher went on, but Jim is walking and we'll assess the injury tomorrow. It's maybe not as bad as I first feared."
