Andy Ritchie - SPL Delegate

Firstly, thanks to the person who got in contact in reply to the Andy Ritchie appeal.

For anyone who's interested the journalist who contacted me eventually got a hold of Andy's number and has interviewed him over the phone and plans to meet him as well I believe. I'll post details of the article(s) when they are passed on so anyone who wants to can read it.

Apparently Andy is now an working as an SPL delegate and will be on duty at the Dundee United v Rangers game this Sunday.
Sunday Herald journalist Stewart Fisher has written an article on the subject of SPL match delegates and their duties. He says: "Match delegates are asked to arrive an hour and a half before kick-off, meet the match commander, inspect the pitch and speak to the referee and managers. From 3pm they must keep one eye on the action unfolding, and another on incidents in the crowd."

On page two of Fisher's article Ritchie's name appears on a list of SPL delegates. It reads: "Tommy McLean Former Motherwell, Hearts and Dundee United manager Willie McLean Former Motherwell and Morton manager Allan Preston Former Hearts player who had a spell as Livingston manager Andy Ritchie Former Morton striker and head scout at Celtic Alex Smith President of the managers and coaches association Pat Stanton Hibs legend and former boss."
