In a Daily Record story about how he left his job as a cameraman at TV porn channel Babestation to return to Scotland to play with junior side Bellshill Athletic, McAnespie is quoted as saying: "I was at a crossroads in my career and scunnered with football. I fell out with Morton manager Davie Irons and spat the dummy.
"So I was labouring and just playing amateur football with Milngavie Wanderers when I went down to London in December.
"But my mate said I could work as a producer and cameraman at Babestation and I thought, 'Why not?' - and it was just brilliant."
