“Greenock Morton, very good team, no?” said an Icelandic fisherman to an Aberdonian journalist in a disco in the Faroese capital, Tórshavn.In an article in today's Press and Journal, Mike Lowson writes about the time he was accosted by a huge Icelandic fisherman who wanted to discuss his love of the 'Ton.
Apparently, the Icelander watched a match at Cappielow after his fishing boat stopped at Greenock. According to Lowson, the human volcano hated the English and the Faroese - but he loved Morton.
