McAnespie To Sign

The Greenock Telegraph has revealed that Kieran McAnespie will be Morton's first signing of the summer. Morton will pay Alloa around £11,750 for his services.

Rumours that McAnespie would be signing have been circulating since before the end of last season but today's article by Chris Fitzgerald finally confirms that the rumours were indeed true.

According to the article the deal has not yet been finalised - contract details such as the length of the contract and wages have yet to be agreed upon.

McAnespie is left sided player who can play left back and left midfield as well as a central midfield role. He is comfortable on the ball and takes a decent free kick. I have always been impressed with him when he has played against us and I think that he will be a very good acquisition for our first division campaign.

According to the article we have also signed a 17 year old midfielder Darren McGeough from Celtic. According to McInally he is 'one for the future' and joins despite interest from Kilmarnock and St. Mirren.
