Contrary to a report in the Scottish Sun it turns out Paul McGowan could've signed for Morton - but chose not to.McGowan (pictured, left: celebrating winning the second division with Peter Weatherson at Starks Park) told the News Of The World's John McGarry he didn't fancy coming back to Cappielow, he said: "I could have gone to Morton but I have been there, done that. You want something new, a new chapter in your life."
