Stevenson Joins Brian Graham At East Stirling

Morton midfielder Jamie Stevenson has joined East Stirlingshire on loan.

The 24 year old - who only recently returned from a loan spell at Alloa and was among the Ton substitutes when we played Dundee a couple of weeks back - will play alongside Brian Graham who is also on loan from Morton.

Jamie (pictured, left) told the Shire's official website he was desperate for first team action: "I haven't really been in the manager's plans at Morton and my contract is up in the summer so I really need to play. When the chance came I jumped at it because all I really want to do is play football on a Saturday. I could sit in the stand at Morton but I don't want to do that. This way I can train full-time during the week and play at the weekend, so it's really ideal for everyone. I got on well with Jim [McInally] at Morton. I had the chance to go to another couple of teams but the chance to work again with him made the decision for me."

This free space may mean that Davie Irons can make a move for Rhian Dodds who has been training with the club. Dodds played in the bounce match against Rangers and was involved when we played St.Mirren in a bounce game at Love Street this Tuesday (27.01.2009).

I'd FAR rather see the money (if there's any) spent on a left winger.

I honestly don't think Dodds is potentially that different from Jamie.
