Morton Dark Horses?

Saturday's Scottish Sun had a free guide to the Scottish Football Season 2007/08 inside. Every SPL and SFL club has a short analysis of how those at the Sun think each team will do next season.

For anyone who missed it, here's Morton's write up :

"MORTON have spent years trying to get into the First Division - now they will push to get back out of it.

The Greenock men finally clinched promotion last season after a series of heartbreaking near misses in previous campaigns.

They certainly proved they can mix it with the big boys with a sensational 3-1 Scottish Cup win over SPL side Kilmarnock back in January.

And many believe Jim McInally's side, who will be roared on by bumper crowds, could be the First Division's dark horses this term.

McInally has strengthened his squad by signing John McGeogh [sic] from Celtic and Kieran McAnespie from Alloa.

He has also fixed up rookie Rangers keeper Lee Robinson on loan after last season's No1 Paul Mathers took up a player/coach role at East Fife.

KEY MAN : Peter Weatherson"
